How to use a shared album (Google Photos)

This document serves as a comprehensive guide on how to add photos to an album and access albums that have been shared with you.

How to Add Photos to an Album

  1. Begin by selecting the photos you want to include in your album. You can do this by pressing and holding on any image until it is selected. Then, simply tap on other photos to select them as well.

  2. After selecting all the images you wish to move, click on the "Add to" button located at the bottom of the screen, represented by a small plus icon. This action will open a menu.

  3. From this menu, select "Album" to view all albums saved in your Google Photos, or you may find an album at the bottom of the menu, such as "Shared Album."

This action will add all selected photos to the chosen album, making them accessible to everyone who has permission to view that album.

How to Access a Shared Album

If someone has shared a drive with you, follow these steps to access it and view the images inside.

  1. Open Google Photos using the Google Chrome web browser. Click on the app switcher located at the top right of the browser and select "Photos."

Alternatively, you can access it directly via this link: https://photos.google.com/

  2. Once on the site, look to the left side of the screen and click on the "Albums" section. This will direct you to all albums that have been shared with you, as well as those you own. By clicking into these albums, you will gain access to all the photos contained within.

This is how you can access all albums that have been shared with you.
