Bulk Rotate PDFs using Adobe Acrobat

Due to staples in the corner of test papers, they need to be scanned backwards to feed through the photocopier without issue. This leaves the scanner with a folder of PDFs where the content is upside down.

This process will take that folder of PDFs and rotate all pages 180 degrees.

  1. Open Adobe Acrobat and select the Tools tab in the top left of the screen

  1. Scroll to the bottom and open the Action Wizard

  1. Select New Action

  2. Select Pages in the Left-hand tools box

  3. Select the ‘Rotate Page’ Option and ‘Specify Settings’ - Give your tool a title, mine was called ‘Rotate bulk’

  4. Choose ‘Direction’ 180 degrees - other settings should be right, press Okay

  5. Now go back to the ‘Action Wizard’ and you should see your tool in the ‘Action List’

  6. Select your tool and ‘Add Files’ and select your folder of PDFs

  7. Start the tool for these files, you have to select save for each including the last one manually

  8. The folder should now contain PDFs the right way up.
