Lockdown iPad Apps/Websites

This documentation lists the current applications and websites that have been allowed on the locked down iPad's and the process on how to request a new application or website that a student requires for their education.

What is the locked down iPad

The locked down iPad's have been allocated to students who need help staying focused. They provide limited access to websites and apps that are beneficial to education and do not distract students in class.

The locked down iPad blocks the following features

  1. All websites that have not been approved by a staff member. This includes blocking access to games and YouTube. A side affect this is that research will be difficult on the device.

  2. All apps that have not been approved by a staff member. This ensures that games cannot be downloaded and installed under any circumstance.

  3. The ability for Students to download apps onto the iPad's. Apps are loaded automatically via the School Management System, and the App Store is disabled.
